A Walk in the Fog

Yellowstone’s upper geyser basin is magical in winter, especially when temperatures dive to -42 F like they did on this trip. The vapors from the geysers freeze mid air, making for a very ethereal and special environment. Hope you enjoy!

Ever think about all of the obstacles salmon must face to complete their lifecycle? Check out this short clip shot in Alaska during the pink salmon run. An amazing time watching this action!

Wandering the Columbia

Springtime is an exciting time for wildlife in the Columbia River basin of eastern Washington- especially for waterfowl on the Pacific flyway. Sometimes the best strategy is just to sit on the waters edge and wait. Come along for a morning walk on the river’s edge!

Columbia River Beaver

One morning this winter I set up my photo blind on the Columbia River hoping to photograph waterfowl. Instead, a family of beaver decided to join me, not caring much about my presence. This video is a 60 second recap of that incredible experience.
