Gullfoss (“Golden Waterfall” in Icelandic) sits at the canyon of the Hvita river (lower falls is shown above). While they resemble gulls, they are not related (more closely related to the albatross). Only about half of the black bears in Yellowstone are black- others are blond to cinnamon brown which can cause their misidentification as a grizzly. Denali has some of the most impressive bull moose of anywhere in the world, and these creatures have been there since the time that mammoths also roamed the area.
